We Practice Generosity

Acts 11:27–30; 2 Corinthians 8:1–7

• God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your bank account.

• Generosity isn’t about our circumstances. It’s a mindset that grows from our identity in Jesus and flows from a heart that is trusting God.

Two things that most often hold us back from generosity:

1) Fear that supports a scarcity mindset (Prov. 11:25).

2) Selfishness that supports a stingy mindset (Deut. 15:10).

How to excel in the grace of giving:

1) Generosity begins with surrender (Matt. 10:8).

2) Generosity grows from gratitude (1 Thess. 5:18).

3) Generosity sows seeds in abundance (2 Cor. 9:6–7).

4) Generosity attracts people to Jesus (Matt. 5:16).
