Ephesians 6:10–12

The Greek verb daimonízomai (lit. demonized):

• To be under the influence of a demon

• To be afflicted, tormented, or controlled by demonic power

How do evil spirits gain influence?

• Agreement: anything a person believes, accepts, speaks, or participates in that aligns them with evil spirits rather than God’s truth (Eph. 4:27).

Eight characteristics of evil spirits:

• Evil spirits deceive (John 8:44).

• Evil spirits entice (2 Corinthians 11:3; John 13:1–2; 26–27).

• Evil spirits harass (Acts 16:16–18).

• Evil spirits torment (Luke 6:18).

• Evil spirits compel (Luke 8:26–29).

• Evil spirits enslave (Romans 6:16).

• Evil spirits defile (Mark 7:20–23).

• Evil spirits attack physically (Luke 3:11–13).
